I spent several hours today programming with the 1.5.3 beta upgrade.

I found myself wishing the covered ranges for some parameters were more extreme:
- High pass filter range doesn't allow the HPF to cut things out heavily
- Filter envelope mod at 127 doesn't allow a nearly closed filter to go all the way open

...and so forth

At least using NRPNs/CCs, I know we only have 128 steps of theoretical resolution, with (presumably) 0 and 127 reserved for minimum and maximum. I'd be willing to sacrifice some precision in the middle for greater range overall.
