Thats strange its definitely the original psu that was shipped with the TR-707. 

I will see if I can find a 500mA charger. 

I suspect their is a faulty component in the power supply circuit. 

Could someone please clarify if IC1 is the +5 voltage regulator and if it s possible that this part is defective
