First post after being away for very long from this group. Happy to be back.

This modification seems very interesting but since I'm really quite bad at electronics I'm wondering what is "shortening the capacitor".

I googled it and I found different type of answers so I'm afraid eventually I need someone to explain precisely what it means and how to achieve it.
