After the suggestions for tuning modules (maybe a bit crazy :) I
would like to drop this totally different one: how about cables that
automatically and bi-directionally split up, so you have a multiple
calbe so to speak

Just look at this scheme:

I think it's revolutionary (and great stuff for beginning DIY-ers as
