I didn't assume either way...whether it would be difficult or easy. Good to know that it's a relatively straightforward process though. All the same; I thank you for taking the time to upload these videos. That's all I meant.

Many kudos to Paul! I can hardly wait to place my order.

I totally agree with you Steve: The process is very straightforward and the PDF installation guide is excellent. Kudos to Paul once again!

For anyone about to start the process though, it can't hurt to get an insight into someone else's experience doing the upgrade... You only get one chance to do it right after all.

For others thinking about buying the panels, these videos illustrate what is involved in a semi-entertaining way. I've gotten some very positive feedback so far in the form of private messages, at any rate.

Incidentally, I have developed patterns for replacement fader dust covers as part of this playlist - Applying chemicals all over the front panel to remove the membrane glue is very likely to foul the original dust cover material, so I am replacing mine with neoprene covers cut from the new pattern. Once I complete the rebuild (and have video of the new covers in action) I will be posting the pattern PDF for everyone to share.

Cheers,

Syntegrator
