There's couple documented fixes Mario.

1. If the crack is close to the connector, trim, remove the green protectant with nail polish remover and reinsert. Usually, the cracks are too far away for this easy fix.
2. Ribbon crack is too far away: As above except the desoldering of the edge connector(s) with thin gauge wire to bring the connector closer to the membrane tail.
3. Identify location of crack, remove green protectant, and use caig trace paint to fix the traces. The ribbon will need to be strengthened or backed with packing tape or something similiar especially if the ribbon is brittle.

I fixed my brothers recently acquired Polaris in 15 minutes the other day! His left side ribbon's had an odd curve into the connector at almost 90 degree's. A small 1/2 trim was only needed to get this one going. Wish fixing mine was that easy!

I'm still game on fresh membranes!

Hi Sullik , I agree with You, that not many musician are able to open a Polaris and start soldering or remove Membrane Panels.

Hi.
If this was to go on a group-buy, what price differences would we be looking at?

How much will a production cost difference of 25 vs 250 be?

I bought 10 polysix PCB's as well. It was a group-buy that surprised everyone I think (as most group-buys do).

I have 4 polaris at the moment, and several friends with broken polaris that I did planned to repair.
I will perhaps buy one set if we talk about closer to 100 bucks. But will most likely repair them all myself as I have done many times before. If this will however go to a group buy with a good discount for quantity then count me in for 10 sets right away.

Please, please reconsider the group-buy option!! :)
You will sell far far more (4-10 times more I would estimate)
It will be some work shipping out everything. But it's only one time you do that. More people will buy several sets. And far more people with working polaris will buy a backup, or even replace the membranes right away before the old one is broken. And in the end it's much more efficient then selling one by one on ebay...
And you should of course take whatever profit you find acceptable for the job. You can also then buy far bigger stock for less money to sell on ebay to whoever missed it after the group-buy.

Whatever you choose this is a great project for people not being able to repair the panels themselves. The polaris deserves the best!
