Hi,

Forgive my lack of knowledge with the internals of the Polaris.  The left side of the membrane panel does not work, i.e. button presses don't do anything, though the sliders on that side work.  I opened the Polaris some time ago and noticed the cracked ribbon cable that is the source of the problem.  Is this part of the membrane panel, or is it a connection between 2 circuit boards beneath the panel?  I can't quite remember how it looked in there and I don't have the service manual.  Anyway the buttons do function on the right side, so I'm assuming the left side would work, if the ribbon cable was replaced or fixed.  I would be interested in a membrane panel, if it would fix my current problem.
