Subject: Re: [chromapolaris] Troubleshooting master tune button resolved

False alarm! Got it resolved in a moment of inspiration at 2am last night. Needed to cut just a hair more ribbon.

Just have to replace the filter attack slider, do service adjustments and this Polaris will be 100 percent.

Thanks to doug @ synthparts for getting me hard to find replacement OEM slider knobs.

Hi guys,

Picked up a pretty nice polaris last weekend in decent shape. The only issue was the right side membrane as some of the buttons were not working.

I trimmed up the left side ribbons, moved the connectors off the board (with cat 6 wire) and got every right side button working EXCEPT for the master tune button. I trimmed the ribbon some more and still no dice.

1. LED is conformed 'good'
2. Double checked the solder connections to the sw0 and swstb0. Seems good.

Question(s). Manually jumping sw0 and swstb0 should allow the button to flash or perform a tune? I'm not getting anything. Is there another was to test this from the main board?

Is it possible that the board is getting the signal but there is something wrong with the autotune? I find this a bit doubtful but I thought I'd ask given the edge of the ribbon is the first side to fail. I have a few spare shadow buttons from the Prophet and Obxa I could solder to the 0 connector on the board to test.Any thoughts?
