Subject: RE: [chromapolaris] midi sequencer transfer

Hi, I've never tried actually loading (or recording) a midi sequence from a computer back into the Polaris' single track sequencer. It would seem that manually pressing the record button on the Polaris sequencer and then playing back the sequence from your PC might work, but I don't know if you can actually enable the recorder when the Polaris is responding to external midi devices. You may have to re-enable all of your local control functions on the Polaris, because normally, it automatically disables local control whenever you launch external PC sequencing software.

Hope this can help. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Subject: [chromapolaris] midi sequencer transfer

i am just beginning to learn to use my polaris for midi and have run into a
problem.. i want to load in a sequence from an external sequencer,
This sequence ---(about 32 beats -- using one sound) was originally recorded
in the polaris's memory, then I transferred to a laptop to edit/quantize it.
now i wish to put it back into the polaris sequencer memory... i have tried a
number of times and can not get it to 'record' the new version. any
suggestions on a procedure?

my goal is to then chain/loop this , but store and control it within the
polaris. and not need the laptop to play it.
