There are two 74HC374s. Z56 is essential for running, but Z22 is only necessary for the Chroma Interface. But even if it doesn't run, you won't blow anything out if the supply is producing the correct voltages. You might want to unplug the outputs of the supply and check them with a voltmeter. If you have a shorted out regulator, you could pop a lot of chips in a fraction of a second.
