Hi,

I have done this several times.   You need some sort of MIDI interface for your computer.   I use a Roland UM-2, purchased on ebay.   It was maybe $25-30.   This connects to the computer using a USB cable.   Then download from the internet a program called MIDI-ox.   It's free.  This can
talk to the USB MIDI adapter.   Then you need to download the sysex file
for the Chroma.    There are two different one of these that I found on the web.  Then use MIDI-ox to send the sysex file to the MIDI adapter, after connecting it to the Polaris.  It's actually very easy if you have a USB to MIDI adapter for your computer.

To summarize - you would really have two main options.

The first is to still use the 'cassette' method. To do so, you don't
actually need the original cassette cable, nor do you actually have to
use the 'cassette'.

For the connection, you can use the 1/4" 'sync' jacks on the Polaris.
For the source, you can use a .wav file (or similar) played back to the
Polaris.

The use of the 'SYNC' jacks for cassette operations is discussed in the
Polaris user's manual - xref page 64 of:

The .wav files for the factory sets/sequences are available on-line
here:

The second option is to use MIDI sysex to load the patches. The sysex
version of the patches are also available here:
