Subject: Chroma Polaris upgrade???

I've also been wondering lately if there's ever been any talk of an modern upgrade of some kind for the Chroma Polaris?

So many vintage synths now have upgrade options like the Europa mod for the Roland Jupiter 6, the KiwiTechnics JX-3P, The Tom Virostek DSS-1 upgrade, the Johannes Hausensteiner and KiwiTechnics Polysix upgrades, the MIDIpolis IO (JP4), Minerva (Ju60) and MidiPoly (Mono/Poly) upgrades, etc., etc. I understand that many of these are primarily viewed as MIDI upgrades, but most come with the benefit of new added features at the same time. I have the JP4 IO (more patch banks AND two more LFO's to VCO and VCF with selectable trigger modes!!!), the Jupiter 6 Europa which gives you a gazzilion new features besides the upgraded MIDI specs, and the Johannes Hausensteiner PolySix MIDI upgrade that comes with added patch memory, in depth voice assignment, a noise generator, and the ability to mix the saw and pulse simultaneously . . . all are awesome.

Tweakable voice assignment is one of the things I'd love to have on the Polaris, and another LFO or two . . . along with things like Patch Edit Compare, a simple Save/Dump all patches, and - I know we're probably getting into added hardware territory here - individual OSC volume mixing.

So I'm curious if anyone has ever talked about or considered doing this . . . and also what other features fellow Polaris owners would put on their wish-lists if such a thing were to happen?

Cheers,
James
