Speck Xtramix

ONe of the best line mixers you can imagine. Nevertheless some people have trouble getting save contact with the jack connections. I found out, that cheap 6.3mm jacks cause problems as the do not open the normalised switching sockets reliably.

What is it in detail?
The Xtramix uses sockets which switch the input channel to ground, to prevent hum and hiss from open unused channels. If you insert a jack into the socket, then the switching contact is lifted mechanically from the ground connection
